Fort Dummer State Park
Fort Dummer State Park overlooks the site of Fort Dummer, the first permanent European settlement in Vermont. The park is home to a large oak forest, which provides shelter for an abundance of wildlife, including deer, ruffed grouse, turkeys, and gray squirrels. Camping, hiking, and picnicking are all offered here.
