Bowers Bridge

Bowers Bridge is located in West Windsor and is also sometimes known as Brownsville Bridge. It was built in the early 1900s by an unknown craftsman and uses a simple arch-truss constructed of a laminate of five ten-inch planks.

Victorian Village Bridge

This bridge is located on the south side of Route 103 near the village of Rockingham. It was originally built in Townshend as the Depot Bridge in 1872 but was dismantled in 1959 and then reconstructed on 1966.

Kingsbury Bridge

This bridge also known as Hyde bridge is located in south Randolph and was built 1904 and restored in 1980. It was out of use for a few years due to ice damage, but during this time a local farmer used it as a place to store his equipment. It was opened again in 1994 to traffic.

Martin Bridge

This bridge, also known as Orton Farm Bridge, is located near Plainfield and Marshfield and crosses the Winooski River. It was built in 1890 and has always been a private bridge and traffic is not permitted due to deterioration of the bridge.

Grren River Bridge

This town lattice style bridge is host to the neighborhood mail boxes which hang inside it. It crosses Green River and Jacksonville Stage Road and was built in 1870 to replace the bridge that was lost in the Freshet of 1869.

Sayers Bridge

This bridge is considered to be a Haupt Truss span and the only one of its kind in New England, and one of just three in the United States. The truss designer was the colonel who during the civil war built and ran the U.S. Military Railroad in the South for Union army. The bridge was considered to be both ingenious and ambitious in its structure. Due to the size of the bridge, in 1963, four steel beams were added underneath to help it carry heavy traffic.

Lincoln Covered Bridge

Built in the late 1800s, this historic covered bridge spans the Ottauquechee River and is still in use today. Visitors can find the bridge three mi (4.8 km) west of Woodstock on Route 4.

Station Bridge

Station, Newell and Upper Bridges are located on Cox Brook Road and are very close together, all within less than half a half a mile. All three were built around 1872 and Station is a town lattice style while the other two are queen post.

Cornish-Windsor Bridge

There have been three previous bridges at this location across the Connecticut River and all were destroyed by floods. The bridge links Vermont and New Hampshire and is a site of historical importance since at 449 ft (137m) it is the longest wooden bridge in the US and the longest two-span wooden bridge in the world.

Greenbanks Hollow Bridge

This covered bridge located in Danville just outside of St. Johnsbury was built in 1886. The bridge crosses Joe's Brook and now looks almost ghostly with its white coat of paint. In 1970, the bridge roadway was reinforced with steel beams and a concrete pier in midstream.

Union Village Bridge

This historic covered bridge was built in 1867 and is a multiple kingpost with kingpost arch style. It cross the Ompompanoosuc River and Academy Road and is 111 ft (34m) long and 13.7 ft (4m) wide.

Creamery Covered Bridge

Creamery Bridge was constructed in 1879 of spruce lumber in the town lattice style and crosses Whetstone Brook. It is the only covered bridge visible from Route 9 and the only one in Brattleboro.

Moseley Bridge

This bridge was built in 1899 by John Moseley and is claimed to be the last king post bridge built in Vermont. The bridge underwent construction work in 1971 and it is only 36 ft (11m) long and 16 ft (2m) wide.

West Dummerston Bridge

This town lattice style bridge is 280 ft (85 m) long in two spans and crosses the West River and East-West Road. It was built in 1872 and underwent a restoration project in 1994.

Orne Bridge

This bridge is relatively new because the original 116 year old structure was burnt to the ground in 1997. The completely re-built near replica bridge, located in Coventry near Newport, was opened in 1999.
