    Fort Dummer State Park

    Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park
    This park, named for George Perkins Marsh, one of the nations first environmental thinkers at a global level, focuses on conservation history and land stewardship in America. The property was donated by Laurence Rockefeller in 1992, to the government of the United states. Tours are available of the mansion and the surrounding large forest.

    Crystal Lake State Park

    The beach at Crystal Lake is roughly one mile long and features an historic granite bathhouse with restrooms, changing areas and a concession stand. The Crystal Lake Cottage is also on-site, and is available to rent for those visitors wishing to extend their stay.

    One of the best features of Brighton State Park is the undeveloped Spectacle Pond, which is home to a number of loons. The park also boasts hiking trails, an amphitheatre, nature museum, camper beach with boat rentals, and a play area. A number of campsites are also located here.

    Quechee State Park
    Quechee State Park is unique from the standpoint that 611 acres of the park are not owned by the state, but by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The land is leased to the state, and it is this tract of land that has the campground and picnic area.

    Ascutney State Park
    Ascutney State Park is close to 2,000 acres in size. There are a number of campsites in the park, including some that were completed in 1939. There is a trail that leads to the summit, and a number of excellent viewing opportunities are provided along the way. A hang gliding launch site is also located here.

    Hubbard Park offers more than 200 acres of the finest land crossed by trails. Hubbard Park roads and trails are a fine jaunt and are open daily. A stone observatory tower in the park provides distant views from the top. In winter, there is cross-country skiing and a fine hill for kids to sled.
